Established in 1995, PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia) is a subsidiary of Prudential plc, a leading international financial services group from the United Kingdom that has more than £245 billion (Rp 4,115 trillion) of assets under management (as at 30 June 2009). Combining Prudential's global experience in life insurance for more than 160 years with knowledge of local customs and businesses, Prudential Indonesia is committed to develop its business in Indonesia.

Since launching our first unit-linked (life insurance combined with investments) product in 1999, Prudential Indonesia has been a market leader of this particular product in Indonesia. Prudential Indonesia also offers a variety of products and services that are designed to fit and accommodate the needs of its customers.

As at 30 June 2009, Prudential Indonesia has 7 sales offices (in Jakarta, Medan, Surabaya, Bandung, Batam, Denpasar and Semarang) and 183 agency offices (throughout many parts of Indonesia including, Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Batam and Bali). Prudential Indonesia has a network of more than 75,000 agents, serving more than 800,000 customers.

* Service Quality Award 2009 for achieving Excellent Total Service Quality Satisfaction Based on Customer Perception Survey ISSI 2009, from Marketing Magazine.

* Star Performer Award 2009 for its achievement as "Best Life Insurance Company" for 7-consecutive years, from Investor Magazine.
* Indonesia Best Brand Award 2009 as the Best Brand Life Insurance Company, from SWA sembada Magazine.
* Indonesia's Most Admired Company 2009 for The Best Life Insurance Company in Building and Managing Corporate Image, from BusinessWeek Magazine.
* Islamic Financial Award & Cup 2009 is awarded to Sharia Branch for the 1st ranks in The Most Prudent Risk Management and The Most Expansive Life Insurance, from Karim Consulting Group.
* Reader’s Choice Award 2009 from Mother & Baby Magazine. The award was given based on a survey done on the readers of the magazine through their May-July 2009 editions
* Global Service Index Awards 2009 from OmniTouch International, a service research consultant, for Best Application of Industry Standards for IVR
* Bandung Service Excellence Award 2009, awarded by MarkPlus Inc. on August 24, 2009. "The Best of Bandung Service Excellence Champion" award in the Life Insurance category was given based on a survey of 1.000 Bandung residents from June to July 2009
* A special recognition from Investor Magazine in the "Best Syariah 2009" awarding event.
This special-category award was given based on the performance of our company which achieved the biggest syariah premiums in a short amount of time.
* Indonesian Customer Satisfaction Award (ICSA) 2009 in the life insurance category. This award was given to companies that were able to give the best customer satisfaction as measured through a survey held by SWA magazine in cooperation with Frontier Consulting Group, a leading research consultant.
